Following the Rules and Guidelines for IAU Scientific Meetings (http://www.iau.org/science/meetings/rules/#21), the proceedings of IAU Symposia #323 will be published in the IAU Proceedings Series by the IAU Publisher, Cambridge University Press (CUP). As the registration fee includes the cost of a proceedings volume, every registered participant will automatically receive a copy of it.
The scientific Editors of the proceedings are Xiaowei Liu, Letizia Stanghellini, and Amanda Karakas.
The proceedings must be published within 6 months after the meeting. Since CUP requires three months to process the manuscript, the authors and the scientific Editors have three months to complete their work. This imposes a strict deadline for the authors to provide their manuscripts. The deadline for manuscript submission is November 30, 2016.
All manuscripts must be submitted using ScholarOne online submission system. To use the system, one must first register to it, found at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/iau. The authors should take care to submit their contribution to the correct Symposium number - this will have to be selected by the author from a dropdown menu on submission.
All manuscripts must be prepared using latex. Instructions and templates can be found at http://www.iau.org/publications/proceedings_rules/.
In addition, the authors must provide formal Consent to Publish & Transfer of Copyright by filling in the online form found at the above web link.
Page limits including bibliography are 8 pages for Invited Reviews (25+5min talks), 4 pages for Contributed Talks (15+5min talks), and 2 pages for Poster presentations.
Deadline for final version of manuscript: November 30, 2016.
